Remember this sweet lil' thang from a few short months ago? So round and soft and pudgy and perfect? Well, I'm pleased to report she is still just so...only more babbly and expressive and wonderful!
This sweet lil' miss is a member of my Baby Steps Club and she was due for her six months photographs! How fun for me!!
One of the most fun parts of this age is their ability to be smiley and absolutely adorable and their lack of ability to scoot away from me. haha. Six months old is putty in my hands....*snicker* Not to mention just about anything is hilarious to them. Well, Miss S is very easily amused. Isn't she cute?
She made the cutest little expressions. Here I think Daddy went outside the window we were perched in from of - "why is Daddy outside?" I think her eyes are pretty amazingly blue. I love them.
We borrowed Mommy's pearls for these shots. She is a little princess indeed!
Daddy wasn't in the first set of photos we did for her and wanted to be in a few. Aren't they cute? And doesn't he look proud? Doesn't she look comfy?
I think my favorite from the set. Can't wait to get her in front of my camera again!!!

We prayed for no wind. They brought me a Starbucks. (They had me at Hello). This sweet and beautiful family stole my heart long before this day. Getting to know one another through life groups at church, through worship together at church, through retreats and talks in the hallway at preschool drop off. I wanted something different for them as they are most certainly a family seeking to make a difference. We started out in downtown:
Those two sweet baby boys - completely precious and precocious. I always get my exercise with the little ones. And perfect my funny sounds and jokes. Sometimes they laugh and sometimes I get the just the look. These are the photos I love.
This little one grins with his entire body.
The wind through the alley caught her hair perfectly and her smile was genuine and delighted. Could she be any more stunning?
For Dad we must get cool album cover shots, right? And little R has to be in them too.
To be around people that share something so deep is truly humbling...and for them to open up and be in the moment is even better.
Wiggly boys need a change of location. To the park! To the park!!
Guitars and blankets, roly-poly babies and boys, oh my!
A certain little baby someone is getting tired...
And a certain someone is having so much fun...
P.S. If you couldn't already tell, I <heart> the Archuletas!!!

We were standing near the foosball table at Silvercliff Ranch in Colorado. I remember all of us girls standing a bit away from all of those boys. The ones that were click-clacking the little plastic "men" around and trying to one up each other. There was lots of giggling and staring and pointing. Who were these strange beings and why did they like playing foosball? We all stood around, us girls in our camp t-shirts and colored wind shorts, the boys in their Air Jordan's and Girbaud jeans. They were loud, we were giggly. Each trying to get each other's attention. High school.
That was when I first noticed Eric and Tricia noticing each other. I didn't go to their high school but we were all in the same youth group and when I heard whispers like "Eric and Tricia are going together" I knew they were perfect for each other. Both sweet and quiet. Their last names were even alphabetical.
Now they have a little family and are still very sweet. Their eyes still twinkle when they look at one another and that makes me very happy.
This session was many things. Family photos for Christmas cards, newborn photos for baby announcements. Two precious little girls? Oh!
And even though the majority of the session would be about the newest little bundle of joy. I had to get Miss L all by herself.
With the family pics over and Miss L and daddy off to McDonald's, Mama and I got to focus on sweet baby M.
I love baby lips.
We had fun playing dress up with different hair doo-dads.
And then it was time for a break to eat and cuddle. This little guy gal had been a faithful assistant throughout the morning. I had to get a pic.
Don't you just want to snuggle her?
Sweet little girl, all tucked in.
I love newborn shoots. It's such an honor to be trusted with someone else's tiny treasure. The sessions are quieter and a bit slower than others. They are calm (hopefully!) and warm. Mom and I talk and laugh. I remember my own babies and those precious first days. Days of cuddling, wonder, joy and newfound love. What could be better?
