Like, don't have a cow. Here we are. Didn't we look killer?!

Hey Dudes and Dudettes. We've had a few requests for full-length pics of our radical 80's threads.
Like, don't have a cow. Here we are. Didn't we look killer?!
In the post below, you can see Gillian grabbing at some artfully arranged bracelets. Sometimes I take pics of my items down on the floor by our big sliding window (but not this window) and this time, she was mobile enough to army crawl her way over to where I was to have a look-see at what I was doing. Cute pudgy hands, huh?
Someone else popped in to help me too. Can you guess who he is?
and cuter than ever. Army crawling everywhere. Smiling and laughing and happy. A bit (!!) impatient. Loves to watch her brothers and is VERY curious. Enjoys eating peas and cheerios and the occasional 'nilla wafer. Fluffy blonde hair that needs a trim. Pink cheeks. Denim-blue eyes. Dark eyelashes and sweet little tiny ears.
Cute toes and pudgy thighs. Right now with a runny nose and one bottom tooth (and the other soon to follow!) Has a great
pincer grasp (not so good because of the little leaves and tiny rocks and specks of fuzz that she seems to discover all the time - can we collectively look around the room please for anything that Gillian might pick up?) The most gentle baby I've ever seen.
She has the softest touch - she just gently caresses whatever she reaches out for...my face while I'm feeding her...or daddy's hand or one of her toys. So precious.
She's in the next room, crawling around and gnawing on chewey toys....with barely-there teeth and a grin all for me. So...bye for now!! :)
I get a few requests here and there for information on my "process" of taking my product shots. Here you can see my super-duper fancy set up of my nightstand pulled up to the window and my miscellaneous scrapbook paper artfully arranged. I did purchase the jewelry bust from a jewelry supply company (and my cute new pillow shams from Dillards....50% off!! Score!!!) I love the natural light of this window...good for jewelry. (and cute babies) I never use flash. Always edit in photoshop and try to pick bright papers that will help the little hearts and clips "pop."
I have a rock that was given to me as a child at a friend's birthday party. It has my name painted on it along with a tiny little white bunny. It has sat on my desk for as long as I can remember. I love it. I think one of the boys dunked it in some water a couple of years ago and this has made the bunny rub off a bit....maybe I should touch that little bunny up so he's white and new for 2008.
Have I ever told you of my love of rocks? I have a jillion of them! I seem to collect them everywhere I go. I scan the ground whenever and wherever looking for the perfect little round stone. I have little cairns all over my garden that I love to stack and restack and stack again. When we were in Hawaii, it was *very* hard to resist the tumbled smoothness of the abundant lava rocks. But, according to legend (or just locals wanting to reduce the environmental impact of tourists), it is bad luck to take lava rocks from Hawaii.
Have you noticed my new playlist? I've seen (or rather, heard) several blogs with fun music playing. I like the idea of new songs playing all the time and so have started to add a few here and there. It's more time-consuming than I first figured and so I'll be working on it as time permits.
Anyway, back to my bunny rock. What little childhood artifact do you still have? (Sometimes I think I have more than my share! :)
Here's to the little bunny rocks everywhere.
over at CraftTVWeekly.com! It's official! The new site is TVWeekly.com! Check out the new home page and the premier of the new TVWeekly.com channel called "Plum and Verdigris." (all about jewelry making!!)
Many of my dear friends have been working on this for months.....it's all very exciting! Of course there are still some bugs to be worked out but those are being tweaked as we speak. :)
Happy day!
"They used to say that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and it is just so. Rest is all right in its place, no doubt, and there is a time to rest as well as a time to work. To make this a happy new year, we must find the true place for each and look out and not fall into the ruts. No need to keep the mind all the time on the stretch, but when the time comes to work, let us throw life and spirit into it, and do with our might what the hands find to do. Set about the right thing, do it well, and keep at it. Some folks go through the world with eyes wide open, and some as if they were half asleep. Let us learn how to live, how to think, how to act, learn to use the eye and the ear, and to keep every sense awake." ~Farmer's Calendar January 1883~
